Apple

NASDAQ: AAPL · United States

Apple is the only handset maker that designs its own application processor, writes its own operating system and sells through its own shops, which is why it takes a share of industry profit far out of proportion to its share of units. It stopped reporting iPhone unit sales in 2018, so the figure to watch is average selling price implied by segment revenue, and increasingly the services line attached to the installed base.
